I know Miami is a tropical city but heard a lot about Latin fashion in Miami... help with tips of dressing in Miami... Some people say anything you wear is your style.. but other side of the coin.. I heard that local Miami people are very particular about fashion and dressing.

In Miami you'll see a little bit of everything. I don't think there is any right or wrong answer to how you dress. I wear what's comfortable and try to stay up on the newest trends.

Every city has multiple flavors, including Miami. If you want a good idea of the current dress variations, try watching an episode or two of Burn Notice. It's on the USA channel and you can watch it online, too.

Fashion can be a good thing but I still would rather stand out a little so my wardrobe may not be typical for locals. I dress for me, not everyone else so why should that bother me what others think? Wear what you like is a better choice than having to worry all the time if you are "in style" or not, just do not go overboard with it.

Burn Notice is a fairly accurate resource. I think though, that gigi also had a great point, which I'll piggy back on. Wear not just what you like, but also what you feel good in. That will carry over into how you present yourself to others. :)

I definitely agree with that. To be honest, I don't dress according to trend and public opinion and never have. I want to be comfortable in whatever I wear and more than anything else, I want to like it. Honestly, it doesn't matter to me whether anyone else likes what I'm wearing or not. It's a nice plus, but it's hardly a requirement. ;}

Yeah, Hawkman, it took me a while to get to that point, but now that I'm here, I'd never go back to worrying so much about it. I'm much freer with this attitude.
