I wouldn’t recommend Miami SeaQuarium! When my family visited, we were shocked at the poor upkeep of the park. For one, we thought it was way too expensive. For this price, we could’ve just gone to a modern aquarium, like SeaWorld. Additionally, we hated the food, there was nowhere shady to sit, and you aren’t allowed to see most of the show animals (killer whale, dolphins, etc) unless there is a show going on! The shows, by the way, were just sad!
The animals didn’t seem like they wanted to be performing and their handlers were mere teenagers! The killer whale, Lolita, is kept in a very, very small & shallow tank! It was like a swimming pool for a WHALE! How depressing. We left feeling very badly! I want to report the SeaQuarium to the ASPCA for animal abuse!
PS: The real Flipper dolphins died long ago, so it’s not even like you’re seeing the “real” Flipper!
Hello Nicole:
Sorry to hear about your disappointment about Seaquarium. But I have to tell you with reference to your comment that Miami Seaquarium is smaller than Orlando SeaWorld. It is good for the people who are running out of time or don’t want to drive 3 hours to Orlando.
I hope you must have taken Miami City Tour & Biscayne Bay Cruise. If not then you might want to consider Miami City Tour & Biscayne Bay cruise because it will help you getting familiar with the sunny city Miami very well.
